ABOUT ME

As a proud U.S. Citizen originally from Jamaica, I have enriched my journey in the United States with personal and professional experiences that have fueled my unwavering passion for advocacy in labor, equality, and social justice movements, with a particular focus on improving access to quality housing and deconstructing the housing crisis.

Through my work in government and nonprofits, I have developed a deep commitment to understanding the complexities of policies and their profound impact on marginalized communities. My approach to creating meaningful change is multifaceted and relentless, recognizing that addressing social justice and housing issues requires a holistic approach.

As the director of a nonprofit agency, I am privileged to be at the forefront of giving back to our local community and upholding our mission to serve the needs of the people in the area. I am dedicated to advocating for policy changes that promote equality and fairness in housing. My drive is to catalyze positive differences in the communities I serve, striving to make a lasting impact by addressing the root causes of the housing crisis.

Apart from my professional endeavors, I am keenly interested in outdoor sports and activities. When summer rolls around in New York, you’ll frequently spot me on nearby city parks and facilities tennis courts, satisfying my recreational urge for the game. I am fueled by a profound passion for track and field, further amplifying my enthusiasm for sports and the vast expanse of the outdoors. Additionally, I’ve observed disparities in the quality and accessibility of outdoor activities across various neighborhoods. The more affluent areas enjoy abundant access to high-quality outdoor activities, while other communities face significant challenges in receiving comparable benefits.

The fight is an ongoing journey. I am firmly committed to pushing for significant changes in policies and politics that ignore the needs of marginalized communities. With an unwavering heart for social justice and a relentless drive to make a positive impact, I wholeheartedly advocate for change in pursuit of a more equitable and just society.
